I love natural stones and green is my favourite colour. Therefore, my very first jewellery collection will be dedicated to a green stone called chrome chalcedony. The name might not sound very romantic but the stone itself is gorgeous and is believed to have been named after Chalcedon, an ancient maritime town in Asia Minor.
Chrome chalcedony is a green variety of the mineral chalcedony, colored by small quantities of chromium. Present in small amounts, chromium gives these stones their unique shades of green, which have been compared to green seawater. Legend has it that this natural stone promotes good will and helps transform melancholy into joy. It is a gemstone known for strengthening the soul. This is the best stone for people who want talent or uniqueness.
In my first collection I will use round, oval and pear shaped chalcedony stones. I can’t wait to tell you more about this collection in my next post.
