I briefly touched upon heirloom jewellery on my last post and I will talk about it in more detail today. Heirloom jewellery is the kind of jewellery that is passed on from generation to generation. Not only it is generally an object of great value and beauty, but it most often carries a story behind that object as well. Heirloom jewellery is a symbol of love, family and accomplishment. It creates a connection to the family roots.
Have you ever received a piece of heirloom jewellery? On my 35th birthday I received a beautiful golden ring with gorgeous rose quartz from my Mum. When I was a child there was nothing more beautiful and elegant than my Mum wearing this ring. Its story began when my Mum fell in love with it at the first sight and bought it for herself. Now it will depend on me how its story will develop further.
Heirloom jewellery does not necessarily have to be expensive. Inexpensive heirloom jewellery make wonderful coming of age gifts for young people, for example, they are gifted on sweet 16th, 18th and 21st birthdays as well as for communions and graduations. Expensive or luxury jewellery is suitable for important life events such as the child’s or grandchild’s engagement or marriage, birth of a baby or anniversaries.
Have you already gave a heirloom jewellery to someone? If you are looking for inexpensive heirloom, please check my collection. I am sure you will find a perfect gift for your occasion.
Jewellery can be much more than a beautiful thing:)
